Dynamic Thermal Treatment (LLLT)

Beyond the Mask: LLLT, an Innovative Solution for Treating Styes and Chalazions

Low-Level Light Therapy (LLLT), also known as photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive and painless method used to treat dry eye and Meibomian gland dysfunction. This technology is also effective in managing other ocular conditions such as styes, chalazions, and blepharitis.

How Photobiomodulation Works

The treatment utilizes specific wavelengths of light delivered through a mask applied to the face. These specific wavelengths target tissues effectively. Red light stimulates the production of ATP (cellular energy), promoting cell regeneration and liquefying the oils in the Meibomian glands.

An Alternative to Traditional Warm Compresses

LLLT offers a more advanced and comprehensive solution than warm compresses for treating ocular conditions like styes, chalazions, and Meibomian gland dysfunction. This technology can eliminate recent styes and chalazions and helps prevent recurrences. Manual expression of the glands is performed after red light therapy to maximize results, providing a complete alternative to the heating mask.

Treatment Duration : 2 to 4 sessions of 15 to 30 minutes each, depending on the severity of the condition.

Objective : To heat the eyelids, liquefy blocked secretions, and stimulate the activity of the Meibomian glands.

Effects

Reduces eyelid inflammation

Improves tear film quality

Gently and non-invasively relieves dryness symptoms
